Owl, Red Panda, Loser, Infrared and some flowers.
This is an HDR I actually took through the windshield, I was surprised I was able to get it clear enough even though it had just rained. Le Barons always make me laugh, and it even more when it's raining and some idiot is driving in a convertible.
I took this picture of some kind of owl that a handler had at the zoo. I caught him at the right moment giving me a hilarious stare. I took a lot of time getting the colors to pop and maximizing the contrast. Some of his body is less sharp then I wanted, but I think it came out o.k. I love owls they are my favortie bird!
This little red panda was pretty funny and it took me a long time to actually get him to look at me. His head may seem really bright, but that's actually how it was.

The owl is my favorite out of these!!! I like owls too. My favorite is the Aussie barn owl, I like their roundy faces.
Oh cool s&c! I love barn owls too, even though that is an aussie one, it looks the same the ones we have, love it!
Thanks for liking my owl pic :)
The owl and the red panda are outstanding!
And as for the owl's stare, maybe it recognized you? :D
Cheers! :)
You have such talent with the camera, Mr. C. And maybe I'll hit you up for making ex-lovers disappear from photos.
That would be magic...
@Sreya: hah good point about the stare!
Thanks :)
@Sal: thanks sal, I'd be more than happy to erase a past lover!
I notice 'convertible boy' has grey hair...going through a mid-life (in his case late-life) crisis perhaps?
Love the owl and thought it was stuffed. lol! Also love the panda and the infrared b&w.
I might take you up on a bit of photo help sometime. How are you at lightening up pics?
I love the picture of the owl. I kind of want to hang it in my home office. It's superb.
@JJ: aw thanks, the owl is cool hehe. I would love to lighten up a pic for you, I can also lighten anything hidden in shadows.
@Natalie: hah if I have the owl printed a good size ill send one to ya.
I would love that! The owl has those "you should be working and not goofing off" eyes. Also it would freak people out who come to stay and have to sleep in there. Make them feel like they are being watched.
the black and white is great.
Love the infra red, black and white photo Mr.C. Can't wait to see what you can do with this with some more practice.
@Natalie: ok just be patient hah.
@Jaime: aw thanks, I really want to work on the infrared stuff more. Glad you liked it :)
@tennyson: thanks man, I'm glad you liked it, mixing it with color works really well too but I have a little ways to go until I get that far.
The owl is the best. SO eye-catching! You have real talent. And I love how you play around with my imagination.
Hahaha the look on that owl's face! Please make that your profile picture.
Infrared can create a great, ominous look (sort of like your HDR technique, but not so much detailed as just dark). I'm excited to see where you go with it!
@Mega: hah thanks, I liked the owl too, plus I like playing with imaginations :)
@Amandasaurus: thanks, hah the owl for the picture isn't a bad idea. I do want to really step up the infrared stuff, I'm running out of time too being that fall and winter are coming up which get rid of the green :(
I was driving around town recently and saw a car with a license plate that said "Loser" - really!
Turns out the person who owns the Loser car works with my husband (!) and pronounces the name "Lojher" or "Lozhier" ... how *do* you spell that soft "j" or "g" / rough "z" or "s" sound in the middle of a word? Like in vision?... Lozier didn't seem to capture it -- seemed like that z would be pronounced as in "zoo" and that isn't it...
bear with me here...
Ok I looked it up and phonetically spelling it requires some weird greek symbol. I give up. I guess that's why she didn't change the spelling of her last name... Still, I'm thinking I wouldn't put it on my license plate!!
Now that I've written a blog-length comment, I think I'll post it over at my place, too, with a link to your photo. :)
Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now keep it up!
Purchasing memory cards is such a big hassle... You have to Google prices, filter through which ones are genuine, visit a bunch of electronics shops, compare prices, finally buy your memory, and then fervently pray that the price doesn't drop in the next two weeks or so.
I've been done in by rapid price drops in the past... especially this one time when I bought a Micro SD card for my R4 gaming flash card at what was apparently a bargain price, only to later see that it had dropped five bucks in a week's time.
