I enjoy the random traffic light hanging in the top left of the third pic. The image would be much less interesting without it. mmm... now I want a sub =P

@Maisie: aww thanks! :)

@Amandasaurus: hah I'm glad you liked that light, I did purposefully keep it in there! Thanks hah I want a sub too.

I've never been to Utica (or further than two hours north of the city), yet I feel like I know the place.

If that's not a sign of a good photographer, I don't know what it...

What;s HDR again? I can't remember what it stands for but I like it, it's like hyper-reality.

@Hannah: thanks, I try! Now take more pics around your place!

@S&C: it stands for High Dynamic Range photography. You take 3 or more exposures and merge them, then tone map everything to give it that hyper reality. Its actually very similar to what we actually see in real life.

I love the surreal quality in these shots. Glad you started a photo blog, you take amazing photos!

@MJ: thanks! It gives me a chance to put up stuff that wouldn't be appropriate on the other blog. How ridiculous does that sound!?

You're so damn talented, Mr C. Love your work. And kudos on the traffic light – I agree with Amandasaurus on that one.

(And PS - 'stuff that wouldn't be appropriate on the other blog'? Dude, how inappropriate are things going to get over here? Cause I want me a front row seat...)

VERY vibrant! Pops out of the page... screen.. whatever! =)

How does HDR work? What is it exactly? (I might as well ask someone right?)
